if you haven't already, you have to listen to act one of this episode of this american life. i'm pretty sure you'll love it.
while you're at it, you may also want to listen to act one of this episode, richard bausch's "letter to the lady of the house". i still remember when i first heard it. i was driving to ottawa from montreal and it was on the radio. toward the end of the story, i started to loose reception so i pulled over into the right hand lane and drove as slowly as i legally could until it was over. tears were streaming down my face at this point.
